The Search for the E-century Poets

Nineteenth century poet Emily Dickinson once quoted, “Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those we have personality and emotion know what it means to want to escape from these things.”
Poetry is defined as a form of imaginative literary expression that makes its effect by the sound and imagery of its language. Writing such, indeed, entails greater feelings, imagination, delight and beauty. It is not as simple as composing an essay or even writing a short story or a novel.
Being one of the most ancient and widespread of the arts, poetry, with or without rhyme or meter, needs to be contemplated so that the message the poet wants to convey to the readers can be fully understood.
As the summers pass by, poetry seems to be gradually fading away. It is as if the poets are getting to be endangered species. Most people tend to ignore poems and divert their attention to the inexplicable world around them. Nonetheless, there are still brave souls who want to sustain the life of poetry in this coming third millennium. Weird as they may seem, they are thinking with so much substance and with their wide imagination.
Are there still any poet living in the e-century?
